Veterinary tech company goes to Kodak for its new top lawyer
IDEXX Laboratories Inc., which specializes in veterinary diagnostics, veterinary practice software and water microbiology testing, has called on Sharon Underberg (in the photo above) as its general counsel and corporate secretary. She started a few days ago, and leads IDEXX’s global legal and compliance teams, and succeeds Jacqueline Studer, who has held the job since 2014.
Underberg came to IDEXX from Eastman Kodak Co., where she served for nearly three decades as the company underwent wrenching change, as photography switched from film to digital (and now, mostly, to mobile phones). For the past four years, she served as the general counsel for the struggling company.
“I am grateful to Jackie for her substantial contributions to the Company over the course of her time at IDEXX,” said Jonathan Ayers, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of IDEXX Laboratories. “Sharon Underberg’s exceptional global experience across strategic, commercial, and corporate governance and securities matters makes her well-suited to take on the General Counsel role at this exciting time in IDEXX’s trajectory. We welcome her to our leadership team and look forward to her contributions to IDEXX’s growth.”
Before her career at Kodak, Underberg was an attorney in the New York office of international law firm Fulbright & Jaworski (now Norton Rose Fulbright).
