Twitter, Linda Yaccarino is the new ceo
Her name is Linda Yaccarino (pictured), the new Twitter ceo who will take Elon Musk‘s place.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the two were already reportedly in talks after the Tesla patron and owner of the social network disclosed on Thursday afternoon, May 11, that he had found who will take his place.
“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops,” Musk said.
Within 6 weeks, thus, Yaccarino will officially become the new ceo and Musk will be president and chief technology officer, overseeing product, software and technology systems sides.
Yaccarino is not new to the media industry, where she is considered a leading figure in the U.S. landscape. She is currently president of the advertising sales and partnerships division of NBCUniversal, a Comcast-owned company. In the past, she worked for several media companies, including Turner Broadcasting, MTV Networks, and ad agencies such as the WPP Group.
