Toyota Financial Services promotes Ellen Farrell to legal chief

Toyota North America (TNA) has promoted its general counsel, Ellen Farrell (pictured), to group vice president and chief legal and compliance officer of Toyota Financial Services (TFS), effective Jan 03, 2022. Farrell’s promotion was announced as part of a series of executive changes at Toyota North America and Toyota Financial Services.

Toyota Financial Services, created in 1982, is the service mark used by Toyota Motor Credit Corp. Farrell will become the first person to hold the title of legal chief and compliance officer at TFS and will oversee the company’s U.S. operations.

Farrell has been part of Toyota since 1999, where she joined the company as deputy general counsel and has since served as vice president, social innovation and executive adviser for legal and general counsel and secretary for TNA and TFS. During her time at the company, Farrell has also worked for Toyota Motor Sales on its dealer relations.
