Tesla’s GC leaves: Alan Prescott about to join Luminar Technologies
Alan Prescott, vice president of legal and acting general counsel of Tesla, has left the electric car company to join Luminar Technologies.
Prescott had replaced general counsel Todd Maron, who joined Tesla in 2014 and left the company last March.
This is the fourth departure from Tesla’s general counsel seat in a little under two years. Jonathan Chang left in December 2019 after about a year; Maron left in December 2018 and Dane Butswinkas left after two months.
Luminar has also recruited a 20-year veteran of Intel Corp., Trey Campbell, to become Luminar’s vice president of investor relations.
