Teresia Bost appointed as general counsel of 54gene biotech company
54gene, the biotechnology company focusing on the inclusion of the African genome in research, has appointed Teresia Bost (pictured) in the role of general counsel.
Bost bring to 54gene more than 20 years of legal experience in the healthcare field. She joins 54gene from Jazz Pharmaceuticals, where she served as vice president and associate general counsel for corporate and securities. Prior to that, Bost was general counsel at Quartet Health. Bost started her career as associate attorney at Sedgwick Detert Moran and Arnold law practice, where she was part of the legal team for 4 years. After her time at the law firm, Bost transitioned into an in-house role with Celgene Pharmaceuticals, where she worked for almost 14 years, initially as corporate counsel and later as senior corporate counsel and executive director.
Bost remains active in the community in a variety of roles. She served on the Board of Trustees and as Legal Advisor to the Good News Home for Women in Flemington, NJ, committed to supporting women through their substance use addictions. She also served as a member of the Advisory Council for the Keck Graduate Institute, in Claremont, CA.
