Taren Butcher is now President of ACC, Baltimore Chapter

Taren Butcher, Deputy General Counsel at Aston Carter since 2021, has been elevated to President of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Baltimore Chapter. “I’m excited to be leading the Chapter alongside a dynamic group of in-house counsel professionals that serve on the board. I look forward to serving our members and all that we will accomplish this year!”, she wrote on her LinkedIn page, adding also: “For any in-house counsel professionals in the Baltimore area that are not yet a member of ACC, I encourage you to check out our website and attend one of our many educational and social programs in 2023”.

As she also mentions on her page, she’s got “extensive employment law and complex litigation experience” and uses “such experience to provide senior executives and business partners with practical legal advice and strategic solutions to enhance the delivery of exemplary services to Aston Carter’s clients and customers”. Before Aston Carter, she served for seven years as in-house Associate, Senior Associate and Assistant General Counsel at Allegis Group.

ACC Baltimore Chapter

The Baltimore Chapter serves the Baltimore Metropolitan Area and surrounding Maryland regions, including Annapolis, Western Maryland, Maryland’s Eastern Shore, and most of the upper Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Since its founding in 1997, ACC Baltimore has received the ACC’s Chapter of the Year honors twice, as well as two Honorable Mentions.  Most recently, it’s been awarded the Chapter of Distinction Silver award in 2019, 2020, and 2021 by the Association of Corporate Counsel.  The Chapter’s Past President, Maureen Dry-Wasson, was selected as ACC’s Member of the Year for 2008 and former Chapter Vice President Ed Paulis was selected as ACC’s Member of the Year for 2016.
