Paul Savidge joins Spark Therapeutics corporate management team
Spark Therapeutics, a member of the Roche Group and a fully integrated, commercial gene therapy company dedicated to challenging the inevitability of genetic disease, has promoted Spark’s current general counsel Paul Savidge (pictured) to chief legal officer.
Savidge first joined Spark in 2016 as senior regulatory counsel. During his time at Spark, Savidge has developed and built high performance Legal and Compliance departments and was also instrumental in supporting the regulatory approval and launch of the first ever gene therapy for a genetic disease in the U.S. Prior to being art of Spark’s legal team, Savidge was vice president and head of legal for Sanofi’s global regulatory policy and intelligence. He started his career practicing law at Morgan Lewis & Bockius and later joined Merck & Co as assistant counsel for 6 years. Savidge went on to serving for 15 years at Bristol-Myers Squibb pharmaceuticals, where he held a number of increased responsibility roles, the last of which was senior vice president & deputy general counsel.
