Ping Identity names Shalini Sharma as new chief legal officer
Ping Identity, the Intelligent Identity solution for the enterprise, has appointed Shalini Sharma (pictured) its new chief legal officer, effective January 10, 2022. She will head the company’s legal department and serve as the primary source of legal advice for issues spanning governance, IP, compliance, privacy, labor, commercial, and strategic transactions. Sharma succeeds Lauren Romer, the company’s former chief legal officer.
With more than 23 years of international corporate legal experience and 15 years of global financial technology expertise, Sharma will join Ping Identity from Vantage Data Centers, where she oversees legal and corporate governance and compliance during a period of expansive international growth. Prior to Vantage, Sharma was the assistant general counsel and chief privacy officer at Broadridge Financial Solutions and vice president nd general counsel for Matrix Financial Solutions. Earlier in her career, she was vice president & corporate counsel at ADP and in private practice as a corporate transactional attorney for Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle.
Sharma is a founding member of the General Counsel Mentorship Program in Colorado, a member and former board member of the Association of Corporate Counsel Colorado, a member of the Senior Women Corporate Counsel, and a volunteer mentor for the Center for Legal Inclusiveness.
