Robert Mino promoted to general counsel of Cybin biotechnology

Cybin,a biotechnology company focused on progressing psychedelic therapeutics, has announced the promotions of the current deputy general counsel and intellectual property counsel, Robert Mino (pictured) to general counsel.

Robert Mino joined Cybin as fractional general counsel, offering general counsel and IP services to Adelia Therapeutics as outside counsel. Mino has more than 20 years of legal experience in the field of science and biotechnology. He served in various roles including, vice president for life sciences at Business Development Board of Palm Beach County; intellectual property and clinical trial consultant at Micelle BioPharma; senior director and general manager at Somahlution; general counsel for Applied Food Technologies. Earlier in his career, Mino was co-founder of Zyme X, an early-stage biotechnology company. He later joined Sigma-Aldrich then Roche Diagnostics and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Mino remains active in the society in a number of roles, he is currently serving entrepreneur in residence for the UF Innovate Ventures at the University of Florida; a member of the board of directors of HealthLynked;  a chapter chair volunteer Palm Beach at BioFlorida; industry advisor at CareerSource Palm Beach County; affiliate research professor in the Center for Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the Florida Atlantic University; vice chair of Healthcare and Life Science Committee at the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce; Executive director at the Life Sciences South Florida and mentor at the FAU Tech Runway.
