Owens Corning grabs the top spot in 2019 Best Corporate Citizens survey

Toledo, Ohio-based building materials maker Owens Corning ranked No. 1 on Corporate Responsibility Magazine’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens list for 2019. The company says that it’s the fifth year that it has appeared on the list, moving up from last year’s number three ranking.

The 20th annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens list recognizes top global environmental, social and governance performances of the largest U.S.-based public companies. Rankings are based on what companies disclose and the fact that they disclose information.

Ava Harter, Owens Corning general counsel, said: “We are pleased to be recognized for our ongoing commitment to transparency and high standards as we strive to make a positive difference in the world. This list puts us in great company. We know this recognition doesn’t mark a destination reached, but rather that we are making tangible progress on this journey.”
