Nitin Khakee New General Counsel at Melody Investment Advisors
Melody Investment Advisors, an alternative asset company, announced the appointment of Nitin Khakee (pictured) to the role of General Counsel effective June 1st. Khakee takes over the role for Jonathan Cole who previously held the role of general counsel and chief compliance officer. Cole now solely serves as the company’s chief compliance officer.
Khakee has over 23 years of legal and M&A experience across multiple sectors including infrastructure, energy, real estate and private equity. For the past eight years, Khakee has served as executive director and general counsel of Morgan Stanley Investment Management. In that role, he served as the primary fund counsel to Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners, a commercial real estate credit platform. Before joining Morgan Stanley, Khakee served as vice president and counsel at Credit Suisse Asset Management. He has also been of counsel at Greenberg Traurig and a corporate associate at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae.
