Menlo Therapeutics brings an IP pro on board to head legal departmebt
Menlo Therapeutics Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of serlopitant for the treatment of pruritus (itch), has hired of Ronald Krasnow as general counsel and chief compliance officer.
Most recently, Krasnow was the general counsel at Kinestral Technologies Inc., a company specializing in home and commercial construction tech. Before that, he spent approximately 10 years as GC of Relypsa, Inc., overseeing legal activities as the biotech company grew from a start-up, through its IPO, \ and its acquisition by Galenica. Krasnow started his career as an attorney at Fish & Neave (now Ropes & Gray) representing clients in complex patent litigation and interferences. He received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and his B.S. in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from The University of Michigan.
“Ron brings over 20 years of experience as in-house legal counsel, with particular strength in intellectual property law. He has also overseen the legal activities related to a commercial drug launch, including compliance, market access contracting, and commercial supply agreements,” said Steve Basta, Menlo’s CEO.
