Malissia Clinton: New Legal Chief at Meritage Homes Corp.

Meritage Homes Corp., has hired Malissia Clinton as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. Clinton is joining the nation’s seventh-largest publicly traded homebuilder after serving as GC of The Aerospace Corp.

Clinton—who replaces C. Timothy White, who retired in December 2021—brings nearly three decades of legal experience. Her extensive expertise includes managing risk, ethics, compliance, and governance matters.

She joins Meritage from The Aerospace Corp., where she spent 12 years, most recently as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. From now she will be based at Meritage’s headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona.

She began her career as a litigator at the law firm Tuttle and Taylor and was also senior counsel for special projects at Northrop Grumman.

In a statement, Clinton said she looks forward to contributing to Meritage’s mission of building energy-efficient and digitally innovative homes.

Meritage Homes has delivered over 150,000 homes in its 36-year history to entry-level and first move-up buyers along the country.
