Archaea Energy: Lindsay Ellis new general counsel & corporate secretary
Archaea Energy, the developer of renewable natural gas, announced the appointment of Lindsay Ellis (pictured) as general counsel and corporate secretary. In her new role as general counsel, Ellis will lead the company’s legal and risk management functions.
Ellis specializes in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and securities, corporate governance and SEC corporate matters. She most recently served as associate general counsel at EagleClaw Midstream company for almost two and a half years. Prior to that, Ellis was an associate attorney at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher law firm. Ellis started her legal career as an associate at Vinson & Elkins and then transferred into an in-house role with Rice Energy as associate general counsel.
The appointment of Ellis comes in light of Archaea’s recent appointment of several new leadership and management team members as it prepares to become a publicly-traded company through a business combination with Aria Energy and Rice Acquisition Corporation. The business combination is expected to close in the third quarter of 2021 and the combined company, which will be called Archaea Energy, will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “LFG.”
