John Dotson appointed as HDT Global’s SVP and general counsel

HDT Global (HDT), a manufacturer of highly-engineered, mission-capable infrastructure solutions across defense, aerospace and government markets, has appointed John Dotson (pictured) as senior vice president and general counsel & secretary.

Dotson joins HDT from Chevron, an integrated energy company, most recently serving as managing counsel for enterprise contracts, where he was the general counsel to the Executive Vice President, Technology, Projects & Services, and a member of the leadership team. He was also Chair of the Investigations Governance Board. Previously. Dotson was the general counsel for Chevron’s Upstream Gulf of Mexico and Deepwater Exploration & Production units and Chevron Energy Solutions (including Chevron Renewable Power).

Dotson’s international experience is extensive, covering projects or transactions in over 40 countries. Prior to going in-house, his practice included M&A, securities, private equity, joint ventures, project finance and venture capital in several leading law firms.
