Jodi Golinsky appointed as first GC of Digital banking startup Current

Digital banking startup Finco Services, which operates as Current, has found its first general counsel in Jodi Golinsky (pictured). She will be leading the company’s legal and compliance work. 

Golinsky was most recently director, associate general counsel – financial solutions at Shopify, the e-commerce platform provider. Prior to that, she was partner at Fenway Summer venture capital & private equity company.  

Golinsky held leadership roles in several financial services and fintech companies during her nearly 20 years of experience, including general counsel & chief compliance officer at FS Card, deputy U.S. general counsel at Wongs U.S., vp & chief prepaid counsel at American Express and finally, as vp – regulatory & public policy counsel at Mastercard. Golinsky started her legal career as a law clerk at the U.S. District Courts of New York City, New York, followed by a clerkship role at the U.S. Courts of Appeals of New Haven, Connecticut. She later practised law at Davis & Wardwell law firm.
