Wind River appoints Microsoft’s Jembaa Mai as general counsel  

Wind River, software company, has appointed Jembaa Mai (pictured) as general counsel. She brings to Wind River 20 years of legal experience, cloud and AI business practices, and extensive cross-functional experience.

Mai joined Wind River from Microsoft, where she served for 10+ years as an attorney covering Microsoft Windows Embedded, Patent Licensing, and Fin Tech, then most recently as Senior Director for Cloud IoT and AI business development. 

Before going in house for Microsoft, Mai worked at K&L Gates and Beacon Law, where she advised start-ups and provided counsel to companies on mergers and acquisitions, corporate set-up and evolution, exit strategies and financing rounds, stock plans, IP identification & protection, and regulatory compliance.
