James Doherty to resign as general counsel of Acreage Holdings

Acreage Holdings, a vertically integrated, multi-state operator of cannabis ‎cultivation and retailing facilities in the U.S, announced the resignation of James Doherty (pictured), general counsel, effective April 30, 2022, and has launched a national search for his successor.

Jim has been a key player in Acreage’s growth, overseeing acquisitions, mergers, and compliance, and assisting in raising significant funding. Prior to joining Acreage Holdings in 2018, James Doherty was a partner at Doherty Hayes for almost 15 years. He started his career as a judicial law clerk at the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. He later joined the Pennsylvania Gamin Control Board as special counsel for 2 years.
