Infinera names chip and network veteran Teichmann as chief legal officer
Cloud computing specialist Infinera has hired David Teichmann to be its chief legal officer, effective this week. Teichmann will report to Infinera CEO Tom Fallon and will oversee the company’s global legal and corporate governance matters and policies.
Before joining Infinera, Teichmann served as Oclaro’s from January 2014 until its acquisition by Lumentum this past December. Previously, he was the general counsel of Trident Microsystems Inc., a semiconductor company that sold television and set top box integrated circuits, from 2007 to 2012. From August 1998 to February 2006, he was the GC of GoRemote Internet Communications, Inc., a managed global remote access provider, guiding the company through its initial public offering in 1999 and its acquisition by iPass Inc. in 2006.

Teichmann holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Trinity College, a master’s degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii.
