Turnitin appoints Hazel-Ann Mayers as new general counsel
Education technology company Turnitin has hired Hazel-Ann Mayers (pictured) as its new general counsel and corporate secretary.
Mayers holds over two decades of corporate legal leadership at top global media companies CBS, Simon & Schuster, and Viacom. Most recently, she served as executive vice president, chief business ethics and compliance officer at CBS Corporation (now ViacomCBS). Mayers is also an adjunct professor at the Fordham University Law School in New York. She will continue her service in academia while assuming her new role at Turnitin.
Mayers serves as a fellow for the American Bar Foundation and advisory board member for the Women In Law Empowerment Forum and the Foundation for the City College of New York. She was also formerly the vice president of the New York City Bar Justice Center and alumni representative on the City College of New York Presidential Selection Committee.
