Gsr appoints Eugene Ferrara as chief compliance officer
Gsr, a digital asset trading company, announced the appointment of former J.P. Morgan compliance executive Eugene Ferrara as its chief compliance officer. Also joining Gsr legal team is Eva Sanchez as its first chief legal officer and member of its executive team. Sanchez, will work out of Gsr’s London headquarters.
Ferrara, was formerly an executive director at Jp Morgan in their Markets Compliance Group where he also served as chief compliance officer for their swap dealer business. Prior to that he was at Morgan Stanley and oversaw compliance for their futures and options trading operations. Ferrara started his career as part of the market surveillance team of the now Cme Group.
Sanchez joins Gsr from Aqr Capital Management, where she held the role of international general counsel and head of compliance. Prior to Aqr, she served at Citadel Europe as general counsel and head of compliance. Sanchez served for more than eight years at Swiss Re Capital Management & Advisory as their global head of legal. She started her legal career at Clifford Chance as an associate, advising clients from the firm’s London, Madrid and Milan offices.
