Former atty James Schultz joins Scientific Games

Scientific Games, global company in retail and digital products, technology and services that drive profits for government-sponsored lottery and sports betting programs, has selected a former attorney for the governor of Pennsylvania and the Office of the White House Counsel as its executive vice president of Global Public Policy and Government Affairs.

His name is James Schultz and he’s joined Scientific Games as the company is expanding in government lotteries around the world. For the last two years he’s been a partner at Holland & Knight LLP. He also served as senior associate counsel and special assistant to the president of the United States for nearly a year, as well as general counsel of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for more than three years.

“The global lottery industry is exciting and it’s rapidly evolving,” said Scientific Games CEO Pat McHugh. “With his significant policy and legislative experience coupled with a deep understanding of the dynamics businesses face in highly regulated industries, Jim will play a critical role in advancing Scientific Games’ mission to create secure, sustainable solutions that empower our lottery partners worldwide to maximize good case funding.”

“Jim will support our customers and associations in advocating for the lottery industry’s responsible approach to generating billions of dollars annually for lottery beneficiaries,” McHugh said.
