WWE taps Elisebeth Collins as general counsel & corporate secretary
WWE has named Elisebeth Collins (pictured) as its new general counsel & corporate secretary, reporting to chairman & CEO Vince McMahon. She succeeds Samira Shah, who is departing the company.
In her new roles, Collins will oversee WWE’s legal affairs and serve as principal legal adviser for the company. Her oversight will include litigation, intellectual property, corporate governance, government relations, risk management, talent contracts and compliance.
Collins joins WWE from Caterpillar, where she served as a deputy general counsel. At Caterpillar, she led a global team of legal professionals providing commercial, regional, employment, governance and other legal support, following time as the company’s chief compliance officer. Prior to that, Collins was lead counsel at Boeing as well as a member of the U.S. Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board. During her two decade career, she has practiced law in a number of private firms and served as assistant attorney general for legal policy in the U.S. Department of Justice.
