Ecolab acquires Purolite for USD 3.7 Billion. The advisors
Ecolab, a global leader in water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services, has announced its acquisition of Purolite, a provider of high-end ion exchange resins for separation and purification solutions that complement Ecolab’s current offerings and are critical for high-quality, safe drug production and biopharma products purification in the life sciences industries.
The acquisition is structured as a cash transaction valued at approximately USD 3.7 billion.
Purolite will operate as a separate global business unit and its overall results will be reported within Ecolab’s Life Sciences division.
Ecolab’s legal team is led by Michael McCormick, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary. J.P. Morgan Securities acted as exclusive financial advisor to Ecolab in connection with the transaction and Baker McKenzie acted as legal counsel, with a team led by Chicago based m&a partner Dieter Schmitz.
