Cybersecurity: Semperis accelerates in Europe with two appointments
Semperis, a US identity-based cyber resilience company, after experiencing an increase in the adoption of its hybrid identity protection solutions by European companies, has decided to support and accelerate its expansion with two new appointments for the European market: Christophe Laakmann (pictured left), now area vice president (AVP) channel & alliances, and Baptiste Rech (pictured right), now AVP, for EMEA and Southern Europe, respectively.
Semperis Expansion
Having raised more than $200 million in Series C funding led by KKR, one of the largest sums in the cybersecurity industry in 2022, Semperis’ rapid expansion into the European market has resulted in increased availability of Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) and proprietary remediation solutions. All this at a time when identity-related cyber threats are steadily increasing.
Recognized by the Financial Times and Deloitte’s Fast 500 program as one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies in America, Semperis plans to double the number of employees in the coming year to meet market demands and customer needs.
The two new roles for Europe
In line with this goal, Christophe Laakmann is tasked with outlining a 100% EMEA-focused roadmap, building a dedicated team, and supporting Semperis’ growth strategy together with the partner ecosystem. Of the rest, he will be able to draw on the distribution channel experience he has gained during his career in leading technology companies, including Splunk, CA Technologies, VMware and Symantec.
“There is no better time to join Semperis, a true pioneer of identity-based IT resilience for cross-cloud and hybrid environments,” said Laakmann. “Semperis meets the needs of most companies looking for an effective cybersecurity solution.”
As Area Vice President for Southern Europe, Baptiste Rech has experience in the security industry and great expertise in this market from his years at Splunk, Checkmarx, IBM and Lexsi. His goal is to consolidate and increase Semperis’ development in this area.
“After 12 years in the security industry, Baptiste has built a wide network of contacts around him, demonstrating his ability to create and maintain strong and lasting trusting relationships with partners and customers,” commented David Lieberman, VP EMEA sales at Semperis.
