Former Blizzard Entertainment CLO, Claire Hart joins Genies 

Genies, an avatar technology company and NFT marketplace, has found its first in-house lawyer in Claire Hart (pictured). Hart joins the company as general counsel and head of legal and business affairs. Her appointment comes ahead of the company’s expansion into the nonfungible token, or NFT, market. 

Hart joins Genie from Blizzard Entertainment, where she served as chief legal office and senior vice president for 3 years. Prior to that, she was part of Google’s legal team for more than a decade, serving as senior commercial and product counsel, Youtube and later promoted to director Google.org & Social Good. Hart started her career as a senior associate with Weil Gotshal & Manges, where she managed intellectual property, antitrust and general commercial litigation.
