Chobani: PepsiCo’s compliance chief is the new CLO

Chobani, the popular New York City-based Greek yogurt company, has hired PepsiCo‘s compliance chief Marjorie De La Cruz as its next chief legal officer.

By the end of the year, De La Cruz will completely replace Kathleen Leo, who has been Chobani’s chief legal officer and general counsel for six years.

De La Cruz has got three decades of legal experience. She spent the last 20 years in PepsiCo, where she arrived as international counsel in 2004, becoming then general counsel of Latin America and, finally, senior vice president, global chief compliance and ethics officer. Before the in-house experience, De La Cruz was a mergers and acquisitions associate at law firms Davis & Gilbert and White & Case.

Chobani filed to go public in November 2021, seeking a valuation of more than $10 billion.
