Chantel Jordan joins American Pacific Borates as general counsel
American Pacific Borates Limited, an Australia-based company that is focused on its Fort Cady Borate Project located in Southern California, U.S., has appointed Chantel Jordan (pictured) as senior vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and chief people officer.
As general counsel and corporate secretary, Jordan’s key responsibilities will include all corporate and legal matters of the company, including legal entity administration, contract reviews, leases, IP, litigation, and oversight of the various external counsels that the Company is partnering with for special legal support and advice. As chief people officer, Jordan is responsible to support all Human Capital activities and matters including recruiting, compensation, and talent management.
Jordan has extensive experience resolving significant legal and commercial matters including commercial agreements, regulatory responses, compliance investigations and litigation. She served for 12 years at the American Bureau of Shipping, most recently as assistant general counsel and assistant corporate secretary. Earlier in her career, Jordan was an associate at Polsinelli, an Am Law 100 firm with 900 attorneys and 21 offices. From October 2020 to September 2021, Jordan was chair of the board of directors and Houston chapter president of the Association of Corporate Counsel – ACC.
