Permira, a globally active private equity firm, announced the appointment as senior adviser of Carolyn Everson (pictured), a top executive with more than 28 years of experience in the Internet and digital media companies.
Carolyn worked for Facebook, now known as Meta, prior to its IPO, serving as vice president of Global Marketing Solutions, and she oversaw a global team of more than 4,000 people in 50 countries and more than $80 billion in revenue. Her career path also includes senior roles at Instacart, Microsoft, and Viacom’s MTV Networks.
Carolyn currently serves on the boards of The Walt Disney Company, The Coca-Cola Company, Villanova University, Humane Society of the United States, and Columbia Medical School. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
At Permira, Carolyn will be working with teams on an international level, leveraging her experience in company development, global network, and sector expertise to support investment activities and portfolio value creation. Permira is one of the world’s most active investors in the Internet and digital media sector, with a portfolio that includes Adevinta, Allegro, AllTrails, Ancestry.com, BestSecret, Boats Group, Catawiki, Flixbus, Klarna, LegalZoom, McAfee, The Knot Worldwide and Zwift.
