Citi appoints Brent McIntosh as general counsel & corporate secretary
Citigroup has name Brent McIntosh (pictured) as its new general counsel and corporate secretary, chief executive officer at Citi, Jane Fraser wrote in a memo to employees last week. McIntosh will replace Rohan Weerasinghe, who the bank announced in March is retiring at the end of the year, after nearly a decade with the bank.
McIntosh will join Citigroup from venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, where he is currently serving as an advisory partner. Prior to that, held the role of under secretary for international affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. McIntosh has also held senior roles at the White House and the U.S. Department of Justice. Prior to joining the Treasury, he was a partner at law firm Sullivan & Cromwell. Earlier in his career, McIntosh was a law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit followed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
