Carolyn Blankenship, new general counsel at BigBear.ai Holdings
BigBear.ai Holdings has hired lawyer Carolyn Blankenship as general counsel. The provider of artificial intelligence-powered analytics, has appointed Blankenship because her expertise in AI and business strategy will further strengthen the company’s growth.
Before joining BigBear.ai she served as as general counsel of innovation and product at Thomson Reuters, where she worked for 21 years. In that role, she organized and led a cross-functional team that outlined the corporation’s first set of data ethics principles.
She also led the intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions totaling more than $20 billion, developed an IP strategy for the company, and negotiated a variety of licensing agreements. Before that, she was a vice president of Priceline and a senior associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.

Columbia, Maryland-based BigBear.ai formed in November 2021 through the merger of NuWave Solutions and PCI Strategic Management. The company went public through a special purpose acquisitions company merger last December.
