David Kessler has joined BAE Systems’ U.S. arm as vice president and associate general counsel for information technology and cybersecurity.
Kessler will oversee company’s security and IT teams and provide advice on emerging IT, cybersecurity, data privacy and insider threats.
He served as Verizon’s lead product counsel for the company’s public sector arm with oversight on federal, state and local government as well as education and public safety programs.
Kessler previously worked at McAfee in various leadership roles that include group counsel and chief compliance officer. He also held legal positions at Intel, Autodesk and Symantec. His career began in 2000 as a senior associate at Greenberg Traurig.
