Amazon’s Audible promotes Lori Landew to general counsel
Audible, the Amazon-owned audiobook and podcast service, has elevated Lori Landew (pictured) to general counsel, two years after she joined as vice president of content legal. In her new role as general counsel, Landew will report to ceo Bob Carrigan and will lead the company’s legal operations.
Landew succeeds Stas Zakharenko, the company’s former general counsel who departed to join Netflix after nearly seven years with Audible.
Prior to joining Audible in 2019, Landew was partner and co-chair of the entertainment & sport law practice at For Rothschild. During her 30 plus years of legal career, Landew held a number of high importance roles in various corporations as well as private practices. Her experience includes serving as general counsel for Ryko Corporation and Rykodisc; vice president of business affairs for Zomba Recording Corporation and Jive Records. Earlier in her career, she was a litigator for Stroock Stroock and Lavan; Milgrim Thomajan and Lee as well as Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker.
