Andrean Horton joins Dealer Tire as partner and chief legal officer
Dealer Tire, a company that helps auto manufacturers and car dealers grow their tire and light maintenance business, has appointed Andrean Horton (pictured) as partner and chief legal officer. She will assume her new duties on September 7th, and will report directly to Dealer Tire partner and CEO, Scott Mueller.
As Dealer Tire’s chief legal officer, Horton will lead the legal team and be responsible for the organization’s general and commercial legal matters including, compliance, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, employment, contracts and negotiations, government relations and other general business legal issues. Horton will serve as an advisor to the Dealer Tire senior leadership team and the board of directors on a wide range of strategic, tactical and operational issues, pragmatically managing legal risks.
Horton was most recently executive vice president, chief legal officer and secretary of Myers Industries, during her time with Myers, she also served as interim president and CEO. She is currently a director and member of the board of directors at Ohio Bar Liability Insurance Company. In 2010, Horton was executive vice president, chief legal officer and secretary at A. Schuman, a company that she served at for 8 years and held a number of executive roles during her tenure with the company. Horton started her career as an associate with Calfee Halter & Griswold. She later transitioned into an in-house role at Yrc Worldwide, where she spent 6 years in a number of roles, and was finally named vice president, legal and regulatory compliance. Horton then joined The Bartech Group as general counsel and corporate secretary.
Horton remains active in the community in a variety of roles. She has been a member of the board of directors for DanceCleveland for almost a decade.
