Airbnb Lawyer Alexa Summer Jumps to NYC-Based Fintech as Legal Chief
Alexa Summer, a senior attorney at Airbnb is taking the legal reins at financial software maker Rho as chief legal officer. The fintech startup is based in New York City.
She had been San Francisco-based Airbnb’s lead counsel for risk and regulatory for four years. Before that, she worked for the Justice Department and in private practice at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, K&L Gates, and Morrison & Foerster.
Rho operates a spending and cash management platform for smaller businesses that boasts frictionless workflows across banking, cards and accounts payable. The company, which launched in 2018, raised $75 million in funding in December, bringing its funding to $205 million.
