8×8 changes its leadership team. Denny is the new CLO
8×8, a cloud-based business communications company, promoted its chief compliance officer and deputy
general counsel to chief legal officer, Laurence Denny, who started the new role last December 9th replacing the former CLO, Matthew Zinn (who left for another, yet unknown, firm). Denny has been with 8×8 for the last 3,5 years, serving as assistant corporate secretary. He was also named the corporate secretary of the company.
Denny graduated by Columbia Law School in 2000. He worked two years as an associate at Gibson Dunn
& Crutcher LLP in Los Angeles and two years more at Morrison Foerster LLP in San Francisco. From 2004 to 2019, he served as corporate counsel, director of corporate legal affairs, associate general counsel
and, finally, deputy general counsel at the digital video service TiVo Inc. in San Jose. In 2019 he became deputy general counsel at networking company Extreme Networks before entering 8×8 a few months later.

Together with Denny, Samuel Wilson, 8×8’s chief financial officer, became the interim chief executive officer, replacing Dave Sipes.
Kevin Kraus, the current senior vice president of finance, has been appointed the interim CFO while the company begins searching for a permanent CEO and CFO.
